Stronger Together
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for our clients, patients, staff, care givers/care partners, and residents of our surrounding neighborhoods to expand access of our mental health services and further support our community in a meaningful way.
Together, we can make a difference!
What is The Chicago Lighthouse “Stronger Together” Initiative?
An initiative dedicated to building a healthier and more resilient community through collaboration, empowerment, and resource connection. In today’s fast-paced world, we face daily challenges that can impact our mental and emotional well-being without even realizing it. The “Stronger Together” initiative aims to recognize these challenges and provide a supportive framework that helps individuals navigate their unique journeys.
Why Prioritizing Your Mental Health Matters
Improving your mental health is essential for overall well-being and quality of life. Investing time and effort into your mental health fosters a more fulfilling and balanced life, enabling you to thrive personally and socially. Addressing mental health can lead to the following:
- Improved Emotional Well-Being: Gain the essential tools to manage challenging feelings and experience a greater sense of stability and happiness
- Enhanced Coping Skills: Learn effective strategies to cope with daily stressors and setbacks, which can empower you to respond to difficulties with confidence, rather than feeling overwhelmed
- Increased Resilience: Build a stronger sense of self and ability to bounce back from difficulties. Become more adaptable and confident in your ability to face whatever life throws your way.
- Personal Empowerment: Feel more in control of your life and decisions and better equipped to advocate for your needs
What Does the Stronger Together Initiative Include?
- Access to Licensed Mental Health Providers: The Bergman Institute for Psychological Support is dedicated to providing counseling services to individuals who are blind, visually impaired, disabled, and Veterans. Our therapists are trained in evidence-based techniques, including mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
- Customized Support: Collaborate with a dedicated Care Coordinator who will guide you through every step and ensure you are connected with services that are specifically tailored to your needs
- Support for Everyone: We believe that everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Funding for this initiative ensures that cost is not a barrier to receiving care.
