Aware and the Internet of Things
This post is re-posted form our friends at Aware
The internet has quickly become a regular part of our everyday lives. We all use the internet to connect with the world and people around us. Near or far, dearest friends or perfect strangers, technology has given us a million ways to connect with one another.
But it’s no longer limited to just our home desktop or that console in the computer lab at the library. With the internet becoming so easily accessible, there is no wonder each device that is created also has the ability to connect to the internet as well as with other devices.
There is a concept known as the internet of things—The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects—devices, vehicles, buildings and other items— embedded with electronics tags or sensors, and network connectivity that enables these objects to collect and exchange data. That FitBit on your wrist? The bluetooth that plays through your car? That’s the internet of things.
And we’re proud to be a part of that.
Aware can now be downloaded as a mobile application (or app). Once opened, the Aware app connects your smart phone to its electronic tags placed around the building (iBeacons) using a totally unique Content Management Platform. This database platform is what allows Aware users to navigate areas where other apps unable to. We’re allowing technology to connect to link our users with the information they need to know so that they can move independently and explore the world around them at their own pace without having to rely on others or their memory.
