In Response to Adult Living Skills Community Concerns

In response to community concerns about The Chicago Lighthouse, please know that we continue to provide services for people who are blind, visually impaired, disabled and Veterans throughout the Chicago area, as we have for the past 115 years.

Our Adult Living Skills Program, which has been the subject of several media reports, has been temporarily suspended due to a confluence of factors, including staffing and budgeting issues. We are continuing to work with Illinois Department of Human Services, State lawmakers and other officials to find a way to bring back this program in a re-imagined form.
