Chicago Maker Challenge!
The Chicago Maker Challenge is back for another year! This year’s challenge will take part at the Merchandise Mart and The Chicago Lighthouse has again been asked to attend and showcase the latest assistive technologies to aspiring young designers. From one of the organizers:
“…the Chicago Maker Challenge is an opportunity for students in the Chicagoland area to use technology to solve community and disability access issues. We would reserve a table for you to showcase the latest in assistive technologies and inspire students again to innovate in accessibility. Please let us know if you’d be interested in participating this year.”
We’re looking forward to seeing the students and opening their eyes to what kinds of technology are out there to serve those with disabilities. Who knows, in the future one of them could be designing the next great piece of assistive technology!
The Chicago Maker Challenge is Thursday, February 26th at 4:00-7:30pm in the Merchandise Mart
