Occupational Therapist

Tammy graduated from Chicago State University with a B.S. Degree in Occupational Therapy with honors as a Presidential Scholar in 1997.  She began her career working in an inpatient rehab.  That is where she began her pursuit to gain knowledge about low vision. In conjunction with a colleague, she developed & implemented a Low Vision Rehabilitation Program and sought out a Low Vision Specialist from the Chicago Lighthouse. Since 2001 she has been providing  Low vision services to patients in the Chicago area.  In 2009, she attained her board certification as a Certified Low Vision Therapist from The ACVREP.  Prior to becoming part of the Lighthouse in  September 2014, Tammy had provided rehab services to inpatients, outpatients and in the home.
