Steven Sargent O.D.

Dr. Steven Sargent is a first-generation Mexican American optometrist currently serving as a part-time clinician at The Chicago Lighthouse. He specializes in vision rehabilitation and primary care optometry, offering comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. Dr. Sargent sees patients at The Chicago Lighthouse’s Main location on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and at The Chicago Lighthouse Huber Vision Rehabilitation Center in Glenview on Fridays. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is adept at meeting the diverse needs of his patients.

He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. During his education, Dr. Sargent undertook diverse clinical rotations across Chicago, focusing on ocular diseases, geriatrics, pediatric care, and primary optometric care. Following graduation, he completed a clinical residency at Illinois College of Optometry and The Chicago Lighthouse, specializing in vision rehabilitation, geriatrics, and ocular diseases.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Sargent enjoys hiking and capturing the beauty of nature through photography.
