Katie Holmes, MS OTR/L, CAPS, ECHM

Katie joined The Chicago Lighthouse team in 2024 after relocating to Chicago from the DC Metro area.

Katie graduated from The University of Scranton in 2009 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Since then, she’s worked with older adults and individuals with disabilities in a variety of treatment settings. She also has experience working with grant funded home modification and fall prevention programs. Katie has additional specialty certifications including Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), Executive Certificate in Home Modifications (ECHM), and Certified Fall Prevention Specialist (CFPS). She is eager to help adults with vision impairments improve their quality of life through effective adaptations and individualized strategies.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, friends, and her rescue dogs, and exploring her new city of Chicago.
