Kaitlin Ibara OTR/L
Kate is an Occupational Therapist for the Low Vision Clinic at The Chicago Lighthouse. She completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2017. During her master’s program, Kate worked as a graduate research assistant studying the influence of interpersonal interactions on patient participation in rehabilitation. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2004. She works as a pediatric occupational therapist at the Children’s Development Center for the Chicago Lighthouse and has worked in home health and skilled nursing with a focus on the geriatric population. She has prior experience working with clients in the community mental health setting and as a medical Spanish interpreter.
