Ben Chargot

DAX Project Coordinator

Ben Chargot joined the Lighthouse in 2019 as an agent in the UI Health call center. He was quickly promoted to team lead, overseeing a 20-person team of schedulers. In November of 2021, Ben made the move to the DAX team, filling the roll of project coordinator. In this position, Ben is responsible for communicating with partners, writing test plans and internal documents, and producing deliverables for clients. He also has gained extensive knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices, and manually tests digital properties for accessibility and usability. Ben has been a JAWS user for over 20 years and is proficient in many other assistive technologies like NVDA, Voiceover, and braille displays. Before joining the Lighthouse, Ben was a multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and audio engineer. This experience lends itself to another roll that Ben holds at the Lighthouse, working with CRIS radio and CLH media to produce the Disability Minute, A weekly radio segment that airs on WBBM every Sunday.
