OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TIP – LIGHTING
Increasing the lighting in highly used areas of your home can improve safety, your ability to see what you are doing, & recognize hazards or obstacles. Some key areas to assess are entering/exiting your home, stairways, hallways, kitchens, living rooms, closets & bathrooms. Adding lighting doesn’t always require an electrician! There are a lot of options for easy installation including: outdoor solar lights, outdoor battery-operated motion lights, Bluetooth lightbulbs, indoor battery-operated motion lights & nightlights, or rechargeable LED strip lights. Lights that are motion activated will turn on & off automatically, & you can avoid needing to find a switch or reaching to tap the light. Read the product information to see what lighting option best suits your needs based on the area, needed brightness, & color temperature.

Forced to flee after committing a terrible crime, he & his brother, Albert, their best friend, Mose, & a brokenhearted little girl named Emmy steal away in a canoe, heading for the mighty Mississippi & a place to call their own. Over the course of one summer, these four orphans journey into the unknown & cross paths with others who are adrift, from struggling farmers & traveling faith healers to displaced families & lost souls of all kinds.
