In a live interview this morning with WGN Radio’s Steve Cochran, Rich Green, co-author and illustrator of “Chicago Treasure,” noted that the book is special because it paints a picture of inclusiveness for children everywhere despite their sex, gender, race and disability.  The principal author is Chicago Lighthouse Board Member and award-winning photojournalist, Larry Broutman.  Among the children shown in the book as their favorite fairy tale characters is Catherine Boyle, step-daughter of Mary Boyle, who works with Steve and appears on his show.  Catherine appeared as Sleeping Beauty.  Proceeds from “Chicago Treasure” benefit The Lighthouse and Access Living.  The segment was also shown on CLTV.
