Colleen Wunderlich
Vice President of Partnerships and Director of The Forsythe Entrepreneurial Center
As Vice President of Partnerships and Director of The Forsythe entrepreneurial Center she brought the Forsythe Center to The Chicago Lighthouse in July of 2022, where she plans to continue its operations and build innovative programs. With ten years of experience leading distance education programing, and drawing on her experiences as a blind businessperson, she successfully taught numerous online business classes, oversaw the development of new business and technology curriculum, and built the New Venture business competition. Her personal experience with blindness also provides her a valuable perspective in the development of accessible distance educational materials and technology.
Prior to her work with The Forsythe Entrepreneurial Center, she worked as Regional Sales Manager for Freedom Scientific BLV, where she sold hardware and software technology solutions both through independent distributors and business-to-business across several industries such as: to universities, libraries, private sector employers, the Veterans Administration and vocational rehabilitation agencies.
Colleen also worked for The City of Chicago in grant writing and event planning. She also worked with the Department of Consumer Services to pass the taxi Access Ordinance under the Daley Administration.
Colleen earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Spanish degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in economics, strategic management, and entrepreneurship from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
