Forsythe Entrepreneurial Center (FEC)
The Chicago Lighthouse’s Forsythe Entrepreneurial Center (formerly the Forsythe Center for Employment & Entrepreneurship at Hadley) empowers adults with vision loss or blindness to thrive in their business ventures through three core elements:
- Business, academic, technology and other training needed to obtain a license to vent on municipal property under the Randolph-Sheppard Business Enterprise Program (BEP).
- Free, accessible workshop training videos to help clients understand how to incorporate assistive technology to understand and use business tools and software, including Microsoft Excel.
- A competition to provide seed funding for people who are blind or visually impaired to pursue their entrepreneurial business dreams. Details will be coming soon.
