Low Vision Products Road Show Schedule

Low Vision Products Road Shows are a great way to experience cutting edge products for your everyday needs at a convenient location near you. Sponsored by The Lions Clubs of Illinois, our Assistive Technology team travels several times a year throughout the Chicagoland area and Northwest Indiana to educate people about using technology to overcome the challenges of vision loss. The Chicago Lighthouse staff demonstrates, explains and helps you explore a variety of products available to help with school, work and daily life.

Low vision products demonstrated at Road Shows may include:

  • Independent Living: talking clocks and watches, kitchen items, large-button phones and cell phones, and sunglasses of all types, including new fit-over models
  • Computer Aids: keyboards, accessibility software and speech-to-text dictation programs
  • Technology: voice-activated GPS, reading devices and portable hand-held CCTV magnifiers

Shows are presented in an open-house format. They are open to the public and are free to attend.
