As a Research Associate at The Chicago Lighthouse, Grace Sorci assists in facilitating the implementation of clinical trials and non-interventional studies and is dedicated to advancing the organization’s mission of enhancing the lives of individuals with visual impairments and disabilities through rigorous research and innovative solutions. She earned a Master of Public Administration from the State University of New York at Albany, which she leverages in her research, project implementation skills, and grant proposal management to secure funding from foundation, corporate, and government sources.

Grace’s professional interests include expanding psychological services for individuals experiencing vision loss to promote comprehensive care models that prioritize the holistic well-being of individuals navigating adjustment to vision loss. She is also dedicated to exploring behavioral therapies and expanding community outreach to underserved populations with a focus on advancing equity and improving public health from a preventative standpoint. Through her strategic interventions, Grace ensures that research endeavors not only generate valuable insights but also translate into tangible benefits for the communities served by The Chicago Lighthouse.
