Funded by The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the Hilton Center for Prosthetic Vision Rehabilitation opened at The Chicago Lighthouse in 2020. The first of its kind, the Center focusses on the development of training curricula and supplemental programs to better support persons using sensory substitution devices and vision restoration technologies, such as the BrainPort Vision Pro and the Intracortical Visual Prosthesis (ICVP). Therapies, protocols, methodologies, and the dynamic testing environment offered at the Hilton Center are crucial for the success of these new advancements and will lead to a greater and more global impact in the field of prosthetic vision.
