Seniors Program Chicago – Cooking 101: Mastering the Kitchen
*NEW* Cooking 101: Mastering the Kitchen
Fridays, 6/01, 6/08, 6/15, 6/22
1 – 2 p.m.
This month, join our Low Vision Clinic Occupational Therapist for a newly developed four-part cooking series. The group will meet once a week in June for hands-on practice with basic kitchen skills such as using a knife/appliances, following a recipe, measuring food, and much more. Each week the group will create a new meal which will focus on different themes from making a breakfast dish to baking and preparing healthy snacks. Group size is limited to 6 and we are asking for participants to commit to attending all four sessions to make the most out of the group. Please RSVP if you are interested in attending the series, only 6 seats available.
Unless otherwise noted, all programs take place at The Chicago Lighthouse at 1850 West Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL 60608. As a friendly reminder, programs have limited seating. Please RSVP for each event by contacting Laurine O’Donnell at (312) 997-3670 or Megan Frankenbach at (312) 447-3257 , or by emailing Laurine directly.
