Your Stories, Your Words: Investing in a Vision

I did have some business acumen, but as for actually taking an idea and turning it into a full-blown business, I did not have that skill set. The Forsythe Entrepreneurial Center’s Business Enterprise Competition helped me identify how my business idea would add value to the community, dig into marketing and sales strategies, and learn about the financial aspects of running a business.

I’m going to reinvest this prize money into the business to increase my inventory and update our marketing and administrative systems. That way, we can run faster and accelerate the growth of the business. Entrepreneurship is a pathway to independence  and I thank the Forsythe Entrepreneurial Center and The Lighthouse for providing that opportunity.
