This program is sponsored by The Chicago Lighthouse in conjunction with ‘After Schools Matters’, a program of the Chicago Mayor’s office, that provides the funds necessary to pay the students a minimum wage salary.  Treated as actual employment, the students are required to fill out an application, go through an interview process and, once hired, must fill out all necessary paperwork including W-2 forms, etc.

Within the six weeks, workshops are held on workplace ethics, interviewing techniques, resume writing, co-worker interaction and social skills as it applies to the work place.
