Veterans Supply Administration Program
The Chicago Lighthouse Veterans Supply Administration Program distributes low vision aids and independent living devices to 4,300 veterans who are blind or visually impaired throughout America.
By combining products sold at the Lighthouse’s Strickfaden Assistive Devices Store and low vision aids prescribed by optometrists at its Alfred A. Rosenbloom Low Vision Rehabilitation Service, this program provides the most comprehensive supply to veterans who are blind or visually impaired.
Through a procured contract with the Veteran’s Administration, this program sells more than 1,600 items such as talking watches, alarm clocks, CCTVs, canes, telescopes and handled magnifiers.
