serving people with educational audio materials who cannot effectively read
standard print because of visual impairment, dyslexia, or other physical
disability.
National
Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS)
www.loc.gov/nls
Through a national network of cooperating libraries, NLS administers a free
library program of Braille and audio materials circulated to eligible borrowers
in the United States by postage-free mail. Web-Braille is also available.
Web-Braille is a service that provides, in an electronic format, many Braille
books, some music scores, and all Braille magazines produced by NLS. The
Web-Braille site is password-protected, and all files are in an electronic form
of contracted Braille, requiring the use of special equipment for access.
