Services

The variety of reasons for vision loss and challenges faced by our patients, both young and old, are as unique as each patient.  As a result, our dedicated staff believes in extending our services in an approach which is as unique as each patient.  Here is a list of the services we offer through our Low Vision Clinics:

Comprehensive Low Vision Examination - In addition to a highly-specialized optometrist conducting the vision exam, our patients receive a Vision Loss Evaluation, Rehabilitation Plan, and Hands-On Implementation in the real-world.  With an examination, we are eager to help our patients enjoy their hobbies, including cooking, playing musical instruments, even driving, and much more!

Occupational Therapy Services - A specialized Low-Vision Occupational Therapist is available for complete evalutions, home assessmenst, or just for training in optical and non-optical aids.

Bergman Institute for Psychological Support - This service aspires to meet the needs of persons struggling with this adjustment through the employment of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family psychotherapy.

Diagnostic and Research Services
 - Last but not least, the Low Vision Clinic Main Location has three different types of testing instruments specifically made to properly diagnose different types and varying degrees of vision problems. These high-end tools allow for the most complete understanding of a patient's visual function and any underlying structural changes that may be related to the patient's vision losses. The results of these tests can be used by the referring physicians to further refine a more precise therapeutic plan for their patients.
