Jean Claude has worked with the blind community for nearly 25 years, 15 of which have been spent at The Chicago Lighthouse. He has extensive experience in international and domestic marketing, product development and contract negotiations. As Vice President of Chicago Lighthouse Industries, he has operational and fiscal responsibility for the plant and its products, which are marketed to the federal and commercial sectors with annual sales of $4 million. In addition to overseeing the Industries program, Jean Claude is directly responsible for new product and project development at The Lighthouse. Born in Colombia to French parents, he is trilingual. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Emporia, Kansas. He was previously the president of the Ridgefield, New Jersey Rotary Club and is a current member of the Central Lions Club of Chicago.
