Thank You Dr. Rosenbloom

Dear Dr. Rosenbloom,

I thank you so much for the gentle and attentive care you gave to my mother when we came to visit you this past winter… you were splendid with her…

My mom tried with tremendous and impressive courage to face the illness she had this past year… and just before dawn on April 4, 2009, her life and her struggle came to an end… sadly.  I held her close and told her how much I loved her and told her again what a marvelous and lovely woman she is…

We were at Rush North Shore Hospital… a place we’d been too many, many times over the past year and a half… everyone there knew us and everyone there loved my marvelous mom… but no one loved her more than me…

I find this day and yesterday to be the most odd of all… for over 30 years, I have spoken to her daily, several times… no matter what else was going on… I cannot envision my life without her in it each moment… I keep telling myself she will remain here as she is forever in my heart and every portion of my soul.

Please know that our visit to your office offered us comfort… and your generous way of attending to us was so appreciated.  You offered my mom hope at a time when she was so afraid of going blind… and I hated that for her… she was so unhappy not to have her usual, youthful vision… your encouragement bought her time because it gave her hope… thank you so very much.

I’ll never forget your kindness and the gentle manner in which you took care of my fabulous mom for one afternoon… thank you and bless you…
