Hounds for Hadley Dog Walk

Tuesday, September 29, 2009 - 12:15pm

On October 24, The Hadley School for the Blind will hold its 4th Annual Hounds for Hadley Dog Walk. The 2 mile walk will wind through the streets of Winnetka, starting and ending at the Hadley School. This community event is always a good time, and this year promises to be the best yet, as the theme is Halloween of course since it’s just a week before. We will be having a costume contest for the dogs and also invite everyone to dress up. There will be refreshments, sponsor booths, a number of raffle prizes and more. A grand prize will be awarded to the “top dog,” the person that raises the most funds to support Hadley’s tuition-free distance education programs for people who are blind or visually impaired and their families.

When: Saturday, October 24, 9:00 a.m.
(Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.). RAIN OR SHINE

Where: The Hadley School for the Blind, 700 Elm St., Winnetka, IL

Cost: $30 advance registration; $40 day of event. Includes t-shirt, dog bandanna, goody bag, raffle ticket, refreshments and more!
