BY CAR:  Either take 290 West from downtown, or 290 East if you are coming from the west, and take the Ashland exit. Turn south onto Ashland.  After about one mile, Ashland intersects with Roosevelt Road.  Turn right onto Roosevelt Road and continue two blocks to Wood Street.  Turn right onto Wood Street and the Lighthouse will be on your left.  If you choose to park in the Lighthouse lot, please pick up a visitor pass for your car from reception.  If there are no spaces in the Lighthouse parking lot, turn left onto Grenshaw Street – one block past the Lighthouse – and an entrance to a UIC parking structure* will be on your right. Fees for the parking garage are as follows:

• 90 minutes – 2-1/2 hours: $5
• 2-1/2 hours – 3-1/2 hours: $6.50
• 3-1/2 hours – 4-1/2 hours: $8.50
• 4-1/2 hours or longer: $9

VIA THE CTA:  We are closest to the Polk stop on the CTA pink line train on the 54th/Cermak line.  Once you exit the station, make an immediate left and walk to the first stoplight.  Turn left at this light onto Wood Street.  You'll walk about 2-1/2 blocks and see the Lighthouse on your right, at the intersection of Roosevelt and Wood.  You can also reach the Lighthouse using the Roosevelt, Ashland, or Damen buses.
