Team Lighthouse understands the challenges of overcoming obstacles, such as blindness and the grand feat of running 26.2 miles. We are here to support you!
All registrants who sign up for Team Lighthouse and pledge to raise $1,000 have access to a personally customized training program, through CES (Chicago Endurance Sports) if desired. Contact Special Events (events@chicagolighthouse.org) if you are interested and we will make sure you receive the necessary information.
Training program begins in May 2012!
CHICAGO MARATHON TRAINING with CES Chicago Endurance Sports offers a top notch marathon training program that will enhance the quality and effectiveness of your Charity Training Program. You will benefit from our knowledgeable, professional coaches and support staff. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned athlete, CES coaches have all of the tools to help you reach your goals.
Training with CES allows you to focus on what you do best - fundraise and drive awareness - while our focus is preparing you for the race. We've found that when athletes are motivated and successful with their training, they're much more successful with their fundraising. The CES training experience provides access to coaches, special seminars, and personalized training programs that will have you excited and vocal about your goal race. When you talk about your training more frequently you have more opportunities to share why you're dedicating so much of your time and energy to support your organization, resulting in more fundraising dollars.
For any athletes that are training and fundraising outside of the Chicago metro area we offer our virtual training option. The virtual training program is a great way to train on your own with virtual support from a helpful team of coaches. These athletes will receive their daily training schedule and coaching support online via Training Peaks, have access to the CES race day amenities, and receive our weekly email newsletter with coaching tips, race updates and more.
